With the fall upon us I can’t help but think about all the wonderful memories of cooking with my family! Shall we talk about the annual “Cookie Day” – it’s exactly what you’re thinking – a day of making HUNDREDS of cookies, all orchestrated by my grandma, Gam. So these remind me of the cinnamon sugar nuts that Gam would make every christmas. So with this being my first season eating clean, I needed to find a way to make these.. like asap. kthnx.
These are so easy to make – like literally you can change up the flavor based on what you like. I love myself some Pumpkin Pie Spice – but that’s just me…. and I know it’s you too…
Plus, these are great to top everything with! I top them on my Pumpkin Cheesecake or even my Yam & Banana Breakfast Mash! Seriously put them on everything…
Paleo Maple Spiced Nuts
- 2 Tbsp. Maple Syrup
- 1 Tsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
- ½ Tsp. Vanilla
- ½ Cup Unsalted Raw Nuts I use Pecans or Walnuts
- Pinch of Salt
Preheat your oven to 400.
Mix all of the ingredients minus the nuts together.
Once mixed add the nuts and toss to coat - add more nuts if needed.
Spread the coated nuts on a parchment lined sheet pan.
Cook for 5-7 minutes.
Let cool and serve 'em up!
This recipe can be halved, doubled, tripled - I only make this small batch because I will eat them all... seriously. Also, If you're a bacon lover as I am - cook a few slices of bacon, chop it up and add it to the mix before it goes into the oven. Seriously, it really is everything.
